Event Description:
Get a new headshot, network with local women in the industry, and help us collect warm weather clothing with YSS for underprivileged Des Moines youth! The Professional Women in Building of the HBA are hosting a Headshots & Giving Happy Hour at Warners’ Stellian Appliance in West Des Moines.
When: November 2, 2023 from 4-6p
Where: Warners’ Stellian's showroom on Jordan Creek Parkway
Cost: $15/person. 100% goes to YSS, which empowers youth by providing education, counseling, and stability. YSS’s goal is to create a continuum of care—together, its programs give youth the tools they need to succeed through their entire lives.
We’re kicking off a month-long YSS Winter Donation Drive this November to collect warm winter clothing for youths ages 16-24 and raise funds for YSS. We’re also celebrating our new, volunteer-based service project: renovating YSS’s dilapidated downtown basement into an additional 6,000 square feet of highly specialized community center space for the youth! 100% all money collected through the kick-off event and the November clothing drive will go directly to YSS to help with this renovation project.
